If you are looking to upgrade your Acer Aspire 5630 laptop’s RAM, one of the first things you will want to do is remove the laptop’s Ram Guide. This guide resides on the bottom side of the laptop and is made up of several Phillips screws. Once this guide is removed, you can access and replace the laptop’s Ram.
1. Remove the six captive screws securing the lower cover.
2. Use a plastic screw driver to carefully pry open the lower cover
3. Remove the lower cover from the lower case.
4. Push out the latches on both sides of the Ram socket to release the Ram.
5. Remove the Ram module.
